At Victoria Mews our goal is to promote wellness and help our residents achieve
a maximum level of independence. We accomplish this goal by valuing the input
of every member of our Wellness staff. Our staff exhibits a strong team commitment,
and we encourage each one to take initiative and be an advocate for our residents.
We have also built a strong multidisciplinary team consisting of doctors, nurses,
therapists and other healthcare professionals.
Our professional Nurses are responsible for maintaining Victoria Mews exceptionally high standard of care. The preadmission assessment sets the standard for resident and family input into their individualized service plan. Professional nursing assessments are conducted on admission, semiannually and whenever there is a change in a resident’s health status. Wellness checks are performed regularly by our nursing staff and include assessing vital signs, weights, medication management and mental and physical health.
Our complete Wellness and healthcare services are integrated and coordinated by a team of on-site professionals:
Physicians
- Podiatrists
- Nurse Practitioners
- Consultations with a Registered Pharmacist
- Consultations with a Registered Dietitian
- Full time Rehabilitation team consisting of Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapists
- Hearing Aid Specialist
If needed, we also offer:
- Weekly blood work
- Mobile X-rays and diagnostics
- Supplemental community services, such as Hospice care and Visiting Nurse
Residents receive a full spectrum of services from our dedicated nursing aides, certified medication aides, certified nursing assistants and home health aides. Depending on the needs of each resident, assistance is provided with showering, personal hygiene and grooming, toileting, mobility and transferring. Certified medication aides assist with medication administration under the delegation and supervision of an RN. Additional training is also provided by the rehabilitation department to assist the nursing aides with home exercise and ambulation techniques for the residents.
